MEC NETWORK AND BAKA BOYZ
REVISE ASSOCIATION
San
Diego’s MEC Network Inc. and Baka Boyz
Inc. have concluded the content provider agreement
between the two companies that delivered the
BAKA BOYZ MORNING SHOW to MEC’s BLAZIN’
98.9 (XMOR-FM). Eric and Nick Vidal had been
providing the show from Los Angeles studios
on a daily basis.
MEC
spokesman Lee Cornell says “We’re
moving the Blazin’ 98.9 morning drive
show back to a San Diego base, but the BAKA
BOYZ MASTER MIX remains a key part of the
station’s weekend line-up.” Baka
Boyz Producer, J.LOVE, will be handling Mix
Show duties for the station during the transition.
The Baka Boyz will continue with their MASTER
MIX and will be adding a CHR version of their
mix show called "The Baka Boyz All-Star
Block Party”.
The
Baka Boyz joined BLAZIN’ 98.9 just over
eighteen months ago in a move that brought
them back to their home territory on the West
Coast. The structure was designed to accommodate
both their extensive syndication and DJ commitments
and delivery of a daily live show to San Diego.
