"MEC NETWORK, Inc., owner and operator of XMOR/BLAZIN’ 98.9 serving all of San Diego County is proud to announce that it will remain a Hip-Hop Station contrary to reports from the misinformed. BLAZIN’ 98.9 is excited to also announce that it will be adding selected R&B to its
lineup, but that it will remain, as always, San Diego's #1 Hip-HopStation.

In order to remain the #1 Hip-Hop Station in San Diego, BLAZIN’ was required to change its On-Air line-up and, while keeping Vanya as its new morning talent, BLAZIN’ found it necessary to eliminate its other on-air personalities. BLAZIN’ is excited about and is already in the process of replacing its former on-air personalities with individuals who will continue to make 98.9 the #1 Hip-Hop Station in San Diego.
