1995
MEC Network,
Inc. opened
its first office in the city of San Diego,
operating XMOR 98.9 FM as the only Rock
en Español music Station in the market.
XMOR was very popular with the 14-34 years
of age demographic segment.
2002
MEC
Network, Inc.,
added to its Radio
division XSPN as an affiliate of ESPN Radio.
Since its launch, ESPN Radio 800 has established
itself as a local leader in the San Diego
Sports Radio scene, with its many broadcast
partners including USC Football and Basketball,
Anaheim Angels Baseball, MLB World Series,
NCAA BCS Championships, NBA Playoffs and
Finals, All Star Games, NFL Sunday and Monday
Night Football.
